一晚連看《Night Watch》(守夜神)和《Day Watch》(守日神)DVD，非常滿足。
年前在國際電影節看《Night Watch》，被「俄羅斯科幻片」的包裝吸引入場，不負所望，令人驚嘆俄國的電影CG做得如此好，故事取材自俄羅斯作家Sergey Lukianenko，聞說電影有續集《Day Watch》，很讓人期待。
結果《Day Watch》沒有在戲院上正場，唯有看DVD，看之前又發現第一集的記憶有點模糊，所以一次過play四個鐘，過足戲癮。
不過真的有點失望，第二集故事支節太多內容鬆散，又太多犯駁位，尤其在重看第一集之後看，相形失色。
真很喜歡這部俄羅斯科幻電影系列，人家在俄羅斯隨便在街上取個鏡頭都美得驚人，而故事又有吸血鬼、人變老虎、巫術、咀咒、正邪大戰一大堆五花八門看得你眼花撩亂的超現實元素，完全滿足了觀眾的需求。
俄羅斯作家Sergey Lukianenko被稱為俄羅斯「科幻文學之父」，這部科幻系列，首部曲《Night Watch》，其後是《Day Watch》、《Twilight Watch》(美版《Dusk Watch》)及《The Last Watch》。據知電影只拍三部曲，暫時拍了第一、二部，《Twilight Watch》要2009年才上映，望穿秋水。
故事內守夜神(Night Watch)和守日神(Day Watch) 互相監測，以平衡人間和平，電影好看之處是角色無須穿上甚麼超人戰衣，只要穿普通人的fashion，而武器又不用設計甚麼死光槍，只要一支裝上紫外線燈泡的手電筒就行了，而守夜神和守日神之間還會用MSN通訊，非常生活化！一種充滿生活感的reality與surreal的故事背景加上CG特技，組成了一個奇特而吸引的世界。
Plot:
For as long as humanity has existed, there have been "Others" among us; Witches, Vampires and Shape-Shifters who are soldiers in the eternal war between Light and Dark.
Light Others protect mankind from Dark Others, who plague and torture humans.
Over 1000-years ago a truce was struck between Gesser, Lord of the Light, and Zavulon, General of Darkness. They agreed that no one could be forced to good or evil, people must choose freely for themselves. To uphold this truce, each side established underground forces; the soldiers of the Light would be called Night Watch, making sure Dark Others obeyed the truce. And the soldiers of Darkness would be called Day Watch, to do the same.
